Agapit of Pechersk, the Unmercenary Physician. Interest to this historical personality is growing as the years go by, and his image is accumulating secrets and miracles, tidings about which are spreading all over the globe. Who was he? A doctor? There have been many doctors at all times, including nowadays and the times of Reverend Agapit’s life. A saint? There have been plenty of saints in all parts of the world. A monk? Monks have never been a rarity in our land. At that, a crowd of pilgrims comes exactly to the shrine with Reverend Agapit’s relics, and there are millions of people in that crowd every year. It’s difficult not to notice this. Thus, our desire to get at the heart of the matter is totally logical.

To continue with the studies of phenomena that took place during The Meaning of Life: Immortality program, the painting in the background (marked with an arrow in the image above) deserves special attention. Our search has shown that it’s a mysterious painting by Anastasia Novykh (or its copy), which depicts the genuine appearance of Reverend Agapit of Pechersk, the Unmercenary Physician – the first doctor-monk who lived in Kievan Rus in the 11th century AD. The true appearance of this Saint was restored in 1986 by a Moscow criminology expert Sergey Nikitin, according to the method of Mikhail Gerasimov, based on anthropological examination of Agapit’s relics that are currently kept in the Near Caves of Kiev Pechersk Lavra.

Easter Island recluses

There is a saying that life is like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re going to get. While reading the book Aku-Aku: The Secret of Easter Island by Thor Heyerdahl, I encountered a very interesting information. It turns out that for ages on Easter Island, which is located in the Pacific Ocean not less than 4,000 km far from the nearest mainland (I wrote about it in my previous article), there existed a weird ritual described below. However, let’s first refer to the relevant prehistory: when in 1722 the European civilization represented by Jacob Roggeveen arrived to the island, many white-skinned people lived there, which was quite unusual for that region. The attitude of people with other skin colours towards the white natives was very respectful, and there were even titles that could be gained only after a special “bleaching” ritual.

Uluru: an ancient reference point on the Dreaming Path

This research is dedicated to the mysterious mountain of Uluru (Ayers Rock) in Australia. Besides the remarkable beauty, this place is full of unsolved riddles. The sacred mountain Uluru is a unique sandstone rock formation the origin of which is still disputable, a huge monolith lonely dominating the desert for tens of kilometres. Manifestly standing out against the background of the surrounding scenery, it is visible not only from the ground, but from space as well. Moreover, it is not a mere rock, but a summit of a giant stone “iceberg” going deep down into the earth. It can outlast any cataclysms, and even a direct fall of a large asteroid cannot move it from its place.

Among the finds in caves difficult of access... Easter Island again

Once again we refer to Easter Island, the navel of the earth. Perhaps, the subject is not particularly interesting for many readers, but as an ordinary researcher I cannot omit another little “puzzle piece” to be added to our picture and refrain from mentioning it on our website. After the series of articles dedicated to this marvellous corner of the world situated in the middle of the boundless Pacific Ocean (Which secrets are hidden on Easter Island? In quest of… The 11th century. Easter Island and PolynesiaVoice in one’s head and Easter Island) I suddenly wondered: should we assume the island was indeed attended by the great civilizer and Kind Friend of people, is it really possible that no traces of one of the main signs from the Primordial Knowledge has been preserved there? Here is what I discovered while rereading the book Aku-Aku: The Secret of Easter Island by Thor Heyerdahl.

“Sometimes, my dear, I reveal myself to people, especially to those who are in trouble.”

The article Virgin Mary’s sites in Italy mentions Mary’s apparition that occurred on 26 May 1432 near the town of Caravaggio. That was a true miracle. However, nobody gives information on Mary Magdalene’s apparition in our days, although such event did take place and is recorded in Vladimir Lermontov’s book Delphania.

Summary of the book: Bad occurrences were faced by Maria and Constantine, when they went on a tour to the New Athos caves. Their son disappeared without a trace, and they failed to find him. Constantine sent Maria back home to Kazakhstan on a train to get prepared for their second child birth, while he himself stayed to continue searching for the son. He was advised to find a sagacious elder and hermit named Nectarios in the Caucasus, who might tell where his son was. He spent six months looking for the hermit and finally found him.
