Primary and secondary consciousness: a comparative table

Let us present to your attention a comparative table for studying consciousness, composed based on the information given in the program Consciousness and Personality. From the inevitably dead to the eternally Alive.

PRIMARY CONSCIOUSNESS

SECONDARY CONSCIOUSNESS

  •  A field structure and a part of the whole system

  •  A field structure and a part of the whole system

  • Consciousness of a primate, of an animal

  • Modern consciousness, new consciousness or human consciousness

  •  Starts evolving in utero

  •  Owing to this consciousness, we have outstripped apes in intellectual development

  • Connected with the entire human organism and manages all its chemistry

  •  Very aggressive and active

  •  Possesses a poorly manifested intellect, hidebound

  • A very strong artificial intelligence. By means of secondary consciousness we analyse, think, and criticise

  •  Connected with secondary consciousness

  •  Evolves further than primary consciousness

  •  Personality is directly connected with primary consciousness

  • Personality is not connected with secondary consciousness. Secondary consciousness is connected with primary consciousness only.

  • Directly connected with the three-dimensional world; associated with eyesight, hearing, and all our tactile sensations. Primary consciousness is what provides our Personality with information about the three-dimensional world.

  • Secondary consciousness is what we identify ourselves with by force of habit. Thoughts and images come and calculating processes take place via this consciousness. There is logic and many more. That is, all those images, all information we receive go through secondary consciousness into primary consciousness, and thereafter primary consciousness presents all that to Personality.

  • Gets stuck in development, ceases to evolve at the age of about 5-6 years old (but more often even earlier), i.e. consciousness remains as that of a primate.

  • It is what we actively develop while studying at kindergartens, secondary schools and universities. This is exactly the evolution of secondary consciousness.

  • Primary consciousness is capable of thinking and reasoning, but without secondary consciousness thoughts boil down to a primitive state or to consciousness of a primate: there are very few thoughts and only of what is necessary.

  • Secondary consciousness imposes lots of various desires and interesting things on primary consciousness. We mostly regard this consciousness as ourselves.

  • Hatred, enmity, envy – all this is in primary consciousness, as well as cravings, desires, impulses, and everything else.

  • Most often a human being associates oneself with secondary consciousness, even overlooking primary consciousness.

  • Primary consciousness is connected both with the body and the Personality.

  • Most often a human being associates oneself with secondary consciousness, even overlooking primary consciousness.

  • An antipode of the Personality, its reflection

  • Directly connected with the system (“the devil”)

  • Regards oneself as Self

  • Regards oneself as Self

  • Between these two consciousnesses there is a struggle. But there is also an opposition of both consciousnesses (each separately and both of them taken together) towards Personality. They fight for the power of attention, for the life-giving juices coming from Personality, for that energy...

  • When we are occupied with some work, thinking, being focused on something, being loaded, simply having a talk, playing chess or reflecting, it is exactly our secondary consciousness in operation. It operates where plenty of information must be processed.

  • Thoughts mostly come into secondary consciousness. But they are projected on primary consciousness, i.e. it is primary consciousness that observes them inside us (let’s say, inside our structure). They are not observed by Personality directly. At that, Personality observes them via primary consciousness. Personality provides power, attention, and it directs this attention on clinging onto such thought or not, on activating it or not.

  • Thoughts mostly come into secondary consciousness. All those flashing images take place exactly there.

  • Primary consciousness also regards oneself as Self. It is that very little child who sits within every human being.

  • As a matter of fact, primary consciousness has power over secondary consciousness or new consciousness.

  • How does Personality operate? Due to certain laws, Personality is in direct contact with primary consciousness. At that, secondary or human consciousness dictates to the primate, i.e. primary consciousness, tells it stories and shows pictures, whereas primary consciousness presents all that to Personality… But when a person gains a certain degree of freedom, improving oneself, he or she starts dictating to the consciousness of a primate what it should do. This way the person controls consciousness entirely. Hence, is it possible to defeat the devil? It is not just possible, but necessary. And, first and foremost, the devil should be defeated within oneself.

P.S. Personality has nothing to do with the three-dimensional world. Well, let’s say, it is much higher in its dimensional hierarchy. Personality is directly connected with primary consciousness, but it is not connected with secondary consciousness. Personality does not think, it has no intellectual process ability in direct understanding, in a way as we regard this. Personality has an ability to move. That is, owing to such an inner impetus, an internal aspiration of the Personality, a human being is able to reach the Spiritual World, exactly owing to that genuine thirst and aspiration. For Personality there is neither space nor time. It is totally different. For as long as our Personality pays attention to what consciousness has offered us, consciousness is active.

At initial stages, when a person steps on the spiritual path, he or she really begins to study and observe. He or she observes the activity of secondary consciousness by means of primary consciousness. Only thereafter he or she can find the one who observes primary consciousness and begin to develop already as a Personality. And the further a person evolves as a Personality, the more he or she gets used to another way of not thinking, but perception. This is perception through feelings. This is, let us say, akin to understanding of the whole process without arguing and imposing all sorts of unnecessary thoughts such as "maybe" or "somewhere out there". Well, there is, let’s say, something different... It is hard to express this; that is the paradox. In reality, it is difficult to express how a Personality perceives the world. Well, it does not perceive the world at all. Well, it is simply there.

this article (comparative table…) it´s really something, it helps a lot to understand how does primary/secondary conscienceness  works along with personality therefore one can develop inner understanding, that allows finetunning all the work that must  be done in order to succed in his path to Spiritual Being/World. Thank you.
