Hopi Indian prophecies of the White Brother

Owing to a comment posted by one of our readers, very interesting information about the prophecy of White Feather from the Hopi tribe has been discovered. We became interested in the topic, supplemented the information, and now post it here for public audience’s attention. In fact, this is another fragment of the overall picture of today’s world, which our remote ancestors were undoubtedly well aware of. We certainly admit predictions have undergone some change over centuries. Nonetheless, the essence remains the same, no matter how human mind would distort it.

So, what do we know about Hopi Indians? According to internet sources, they are representatives of one of the ancient North American civilizations that inhabited approximately the same area before the cataclysms when the continent split. And, as Hopi themselves state, they were rescued by gods (Kachinas) who later on came to the earth many times as human beings, gave knowledge, and helped people develop science and culture.. The name Hopi itself is an abbreviation of Hopituh Shi-nu-mu meaning “peaceful people”. As Wikipedia says, the peaceful people (Hopi) concept “is deeply rooted in the culture's religion, spirituality, and its view of morality and ethics. To be Hopi is to strive toward this concept, which involves a state of total reverence and respect for all things, to be at peace with these things, and to live in accordance with the instructions of Maasaw, the Creator or Caretaker of Earth.”

It is interesting that Hopi dialect contains no concept of time. They use only the word “now”. Moreover, the tribe life is still based on matriarchy, i.e. reverence of the Female Nature.

Today, the Hopi tribe lives in a reservation located in Northeast Arizona and numbers about 6 thousand inhabitants. They know the art of healing and preserve ancient knowledge of the world and man. This information requires a more thorough study, although we are more interested in other things now. Remember how the world community’s attention was mistakenly focused on predictions relating to the year 2012, especially on the eve of the widely promoted end of the world that was to take place in December 2012? Most probably, such attention was due to the fact that Hopi Indians have extraordinary prophetic abilities. Some sources indicate Hopi once predicted the war in Iraq, World War II, earthquakes in Japan, Turkey and California, etc. There are records of their predictions regarding the 11 September 2001 tragedy in New York, though unfortunately nobody listened to them then.

Most Hopi prophecies were described by Thomas Miles (writer, artist, ethnologist, author of ten books about American Indians) in his book. According to his records, Hopi have a secret book kept by the tribe Elders. That book contains over 100 predictions, around 80 of which have already come true. It’s noteworthy they received predictions, including the warning of the end of the world, 1,100 years ago from some mysterious deity, Prophet and Spiritual Teacher named Maasaw (or Maaso, according to other sources). Information about the prophet is scanty. Hopi consider him the Earth keeper and the Supreme God Servant (Bodhisattva, like Jesus in Christianity). Moreover, there is information that mankind has entered the era of great transformation, and global climatic changes and large-scale cataclysms with numerous human victims will take place until 2035. This will be the war between Good and Evil caused by the mankind’s consumer development, and the period of purification. During these times, only those will survive who remain “faithful to the will and commandments of the great Creator”. On the threshold of the beginning of the end, a new bright star will emerge in the sky. At that, the description of such events has much in common with the biblical Apocalypse. Now, Hopi are expecting “the lost White Brother Pahana, who is waited for by all brothers on the Earth”.

This is truly interesting, isn’t it? Yet, let’s not make premature conclusions and just cite extracts from predictions which we have discovered. Here is one of them, containing information about the appearance of an unusual star close to our planet:

An ancient Hopi Indian prophecy states: When the Blue Star Kachina makes its appearance in the heavens, the Fifth World will emerge. This will be the Day of Purification. The Hopi name for the star Sirius is Blue Star Kachina. It will come when the Saquasohuh (Blue Star) Kachina dances in the plaza and removes its mask. In the final days we will look up in our heavens and we will witness the return of the two brothers who helped create this world in the birthing time. The two brothers will be visible in our heaves in the northwest. Return of the Blue Kachina, also known as Nen Ga Sohu, will be a notice that the new day, new lifestyle, and new global advent will come soon. When the Purifier comes, we shall see him as a little star at first, which will approach very close and sit in our heavens, watching us. The Purifier will show us many wonderful signs in our heavens. Then, one morning we will wake up at Red Dawn. The sky will be red like blood.

Now, let’s cite extracts from Hopi prophecies obtained via various narrators, where some phrases suggest reasons for serious reflections:

The third World War will be a spiritual conflict against material values. Material values will be exterminated by spiritual beings who will stay on the earth in order to create an integrated world and a single people, the Creator’s world.

From the Sunrise, Pakana, the long-awaited True White Brother will come to Hopi land. His face has changed after many centuries of separation, but his hair remains black (the sign of a friend). By this feature, Hopi will recognize him. He will be the only stranger who will be able to read tiponi (Hopi history tablets). When he returns, he will attach the broken corner to the Fire family’s tablet, which corner he will bring with him, and so Hopi will know he is the True White Brother.

He will wear a red cloak and a red cap (interesting association with the Red Horseman Ridgen Djappo – note by the article author). Pattern on his clothes will be like pattern on the back of the horned toad (a lizard kind living in the desert of South-Western American states). He has no religion, except his own (!), and he will bring tiponi with him. He will be omnipotent, and no one will be able to oppose him. Within a day he will assume power over the entire Tortoise Island (the Indian name of North America). If he comes from the east, the disaster will not be great. But if he comes from the west, don’t clamber on roofs to see him, for he will be merciless. (There are no windows in Hopi houses; in order to observe what’s happening dwellers clamber on roofs.)

The True White Brother will be accompanied by two mighty and wise assistants (in printed prophecy texts there are two assistants, whereas the narrator mentions them in plural, implying they are not individuals, but whole peoples). One will carry the swastika sign as the power of male purity. The other assistant will carry the Celtic cross drawn red, that is the colour of female blood from which life originates.

When the Fourth World’s end approaches, the two mighty assistants will shake the earth, first slightly, for preparation, and then two times more (heavily). Thereafter, the True White Brother will join them. Together with the Younger Brother (Hopi) and other peace-loving peoples, they will start the Fifth World.

We would like to supplement all the aforesaid with a short statement by kikmongvis, i.e. the tribe elder Martin Gashveseoma regarding the future of Russia (we assume Russia means Slavic lands, for Indians hardly ever distinguished territories by countries or states – note by the article author):

The White Brother is already among us. And he will be with us for 15 years more (it was said in 2003). Be prepared to everything, stock up bread, water, and candles…

The most famous is prediction by the Hopi Indian elder named White Feather, which is known as the Legend of the Nine Signs (it was first published in 1959 and disseminated among American pastors of Methodist and Presbyterian trends):

My people await Pahana, the lost White Brother [from the stars], as do all our brothers in the land. He will not be like the white men we know now, who are cruel and greedy. We were told of their coming long ago. But we still await Pahana. He will bring with him the symbols (clockwise swastika, the sacred symbol of Hopi and other Indian tribes), and the missing piece of that sacred tablet now kept by the elders, given to him when he left, that shall identify his as our True White Brother (the story of Hopi travels is depicted on four stone tablets. The corner of the second tablet is broken off. According to legend, Hopi gave it to Pahana’s ancestor). The Fourth World shall end soon, and the Fifth World will begin. This the elders everywhere know. The Signs over many years have been fulfilled, and so few are left.

“This is the First Sign: We are told of the coming of the white-skinned men, like Pahana, but not living like Pahana; men who took the land that was not theirs. And men who struck their enemies with thunder.”

"This is the Second Sign: Our lands will see the coming of spinning wheels filled with voices. In his youth, my father saw this prophecy come true with his eyes: the white men bringing their families in wagons across the prairies.”

“This is the Third Sign: A strange beast like a buffalo, but with great long horns will overrun the land in large numbers. White Feather saw these with his eyes: the coming of the white men's cattle.”

“This is the Fourth Sign: The land will be crossed by snakes of iron.” [Railroad tracks]

"'This is the Fifth Sign: The land shall be crisscrossed by a giant spider's web.” [Electric power, telephone lines, internet, etc.]

“This is the Sixth Sign: The land shall be crisscrossed with rivers of stone that make pictures in the sun.” [Highways and their mirage-producing effects]

"This is the Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it.” [Disastrous oil spills in the ocean which did not take place in 1958 yet.]

“'This is the Eighth Sign: You will see many youth, who wear their hair long like my people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn their ways and wisdom.” [Hippie Movement of the 1960s]

"'And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.”

"'These are the Signs that great destruction is coming. The world shall rock to and fro. The white man will battle against other people in other lands, with those who possessed the first light of wisdom.” [Obviously, the war in the Near East, the cradle of ancient religions is meant here.]

Hopi believe humanity must undergo purification by fire. And such trial will help separate the weeds from the wheat. Hence, for some people the end of the Fourth World will be harder than for others. And the result will be either humanity regeneration or complete extermination. People are to choose their way themselves.

It is so amazing that totally different peoples, representatives of extinct civilizations from different parts of the world know certain integrated information that has much in common, despite some differences. Having passed through mental associations of a number of human generations, the ancient knowledge surely gets distorted, although the general meaning of predictions remains the same. A question inevitably comes to mind: why are we still unaware of such information, and who is carefully concealing it from us? It’s time for us to think about this.
